I can not believe how the days fly by and once again I was missing...

So sorry but it seems some weeks I am just so busy with things and then I was away with my Mom to the city.
We attended the Hong Kong Vets Reunion at the Holiday Inn Airport West again this year and my son, Chad met up with us and attended the supper and dance with us.
On our way to the city, we stopped in Portage la Prairie and met up with my niece, Kathy and her three children: Cordell, Teagan and Hannah. It was so good to see them, we had lunch at MacDonalds and then went shopping for a treat for the kids.
When we arrived in the city on Friday we did all our running around and got most of our shopping done that day. Saturday we slept in and spent a leisurely day at the hotel which was nice for a change as usually we are running around like crazy and then are too tired to enjoy the dinner and dance.
Juliet brought the poster board down to me and I wrote up all the donations. Chad arrived from shopping and before long it was time to get ready for supper.
I had a wonderful chicken dinner and the others had beef. Chad was the only one to win a prize from our table and he was excited about that.
I had the vets and their families sign some Pocket Posties for the Troops and this went over very well.
Mom, Chad and I went to the lounge for a birthday drink (Mom turned 77 on October 28) for Mom and had a plate of wings. Chad then caught a cab to go visit friends downtown and we headed to the room and wee in bed shortly after that.
Sunday we were up in good time, went for breakfast with friends and then drove to the other side of the city to see the Veterans Wall at the Glen lawn Cemetery. Mom had not seen it before.
There were thousands of geese all over the place here.
We also visited my in-law's (Lyal & Violet) grave site to pay our respects.
I then took Mother to Zellers, Dollarama and Michaels before we headed for supper and out of the city. We got home about 9pm A long day but a good day.
