Where in the world does the time go..

The days seem to fly by and I keep running to catch up...oops I guess I am not running because with these sore knees of mine I am barely walking. Yesterday I did venture to the craft room in the basement to do some stamping. I took my time on the stairs so as not to fall again and I did accomplish a couple finished items.

I made a couple of cards for some swaps. This first one is for a dragonfly swap and I can not remember the makes of the stamps, I will have to look that up, I know they are not SU. I love dragonflies. I stamped the background using Close to Cocoa and the large dragonfly was stamped using black craft ink and then heat embossed using crystal clear embossing powder. I then colored the wings of the dragonfly with close to cocoa marker and so saffron on the background. I added 3 black round brads for accents at the bottom of the card.

The second card I made for a Looks like Spring card swap. This is a sell-brat=ion set "Happy Harmony", love this set. I used bravo burgundy as the main color cardstock and whisper white for the front and inside of the card. For the flowers I used the markers: bravo burgundy, brocade blue and pixie pink and always artichoke on the stems. I stamped the main image in the centre and then stamped off for lighter versions of the image. I did direct to paper with the bravo burgundy along the edges of the whisper white on the front. Very simple card. All supplies for this card are copyrighted by Stampin' Up.

I also made this little paint tin up for my cousin as a little Valentine's gift. I used the designer papers "Spring Flowers" and stamp sets "Looks like Spring" and "Tags So Much" which is a hostess set. I added some cinnamon hearts in a organdy bag. I also used some twill tape with the word love stamped on it, using the Everyday Flexible Phrases set and mellow moss gingham ribbon on the tag. Very cute and easy project to do.
