I laughed, I cried and I thanked God for giving me the courage to take part in such a worthwhile project. It was one of the thoughest things I have done physically but it was also one of the most rewarding.
Before my sister, Janice, passed away from lung cancer in November 2004, I promised her that I somehow would make a difference in the fight against cancer and when this opportunity presented itself I knew I had to do it.
My sister, Janice, showed me so much courage during her 14 month battle with small cell lung cancer that she inspired me to strive to make a difference whatever way I could.
Some of my fundraising ideas are:
-gift pack of handmade cards for $20.00 donation
-hand knit scarf fundraiser for more than $20.00
-stamp/scrapbook camp fundraiser
-when businesses donate $100.00 I will advertise their business on a t-shirt and where it during the walk
-tag days and donation jars, as well as sell car magnets, pins, wristbands, lanyards and other breast cancer items
If anyone is interested in making a donation and helping with this wonderful cause, you can visit the www.endcancer.ca and type in Judy Preston in the participant name and click on your donation amount. I would be so grateful for the support.
