I promised you photos of Diamond Rio and I so....

here goes. These were taken on New Year's Eve 1994 in Saskatoon. This was about the 5th or 6th time I had met the guys in concert so we knew each other by name. I remember being all excited that Jimmy Orlander was the first of the group to get his hair cut short, I commented on it to him, he looked hot!!

Here are Gene, Jimmy and Marty, I was so excited as we were able to stand right up by the stage during the whole performance so got some close photos. Loved it!

Here is Gene, no one can play a madolin like him. I superimposed two photos one over the other to scan.

Jimmy plays electric guitar like no other, I think this is why I love this group so much, they do all their own music during recordings and on stage. Awesome!

After the concert, I was able to go backstage and talk with the guys. Unfortunately the photo of Marty and I is something to be desired (you can tell that the security people can not take photos worth a darn)

Someone handed Marty a rose while he was singing a song. I had a great time even though I was with my sister, Sherry who was acting very inappropriate after drinking way too much. I refused to let her ruin my evening. She acted very bad on the bus home and then at the apartment and tried to pick a fight, I went to bed an locked my door and let her fume on her own. She was an addict and also suffered from anorexia. It was up to me to meet with her that weekend and try and talk her into going in for treatment which she did end up doing for a very short time. She did not want my help but at least it opened everyone else's eyes as to what she was up to. I did my part. The New Years Concert was my treat to her and she did not appreciate it so it was the last thing I did for her.....long story!
