Our son, Ryan turns 30 today!

Happy Birthday Ryan! He was born Dec. 12, 1976 at 2:07am weighing in at 8 lbs. 12 oz and 22 inches long. He is now 6 feet 4 inches and approx. 200 lbs. You always see Ryan with a toque on his head.

We plan on taking him out for supper and drinks tonight and then he will spend time with his friends.

Yesterday Dennis and I spent the day in Yorkton finishing our Christmas shopping so I did not get to post but on the 10th I mentioned that I still put up some of my kid's ornaments they made in school so I thought I would share a few with you all.

Chad (our oldest) made this Santa mobile in Kindergarten. It is made of felt and cardboard and certainly has withstood time. Chad will be 32 in May 2007. I love this mobile and it goes up every year.

Scott made the snowman mobile when he was in Kindergarten and it is made with cardstock. Scott will be 27 in May 2007 so it too has lasted well.

Most of the things I have of Ryan's are not Christmas related but I shall take photos of them one day and post them too.

When the boys were born I made each of them a Christmas stocking that I had stitched cut out appliques to and added sequins. I also put their names on their stockings with either sequins or ribbon. The applique pictures I found in coloring books and I traced them and cut them out of felt. Everything was made from scratch. They have had their stockings since their first Christmas. Can you guess who made the blue stocking from our Tea Room group. Dennis likes it and has claimed it as his. The little elf bags I bought at a craft sale when the boys were young and I have added jars inside and they get filled with candies or nuts for Christmas. Very cute and fun as decorations.

Sheldon (a special needs friend of mine) and I made this Santa out of foam and paint. We had so much fun making them, some for him and some for me. Sheldon passed away 3 years ago so now I put it up in memory of him. He was such a special friend of ours. He was part of our family.

Well I best go finish my Christmas wrapping before we go out for supper with Ryan. I hope everyone has a great day.
