Happy Birthday to my Mom on her 78th birthday today!

My Mom turns 78 today but you would not know it to see her.

This is my Mom and I at the finish line of my 20kn Challenge for Life Walk - September 27, 2008.

I talked to her this morning and wished her a Happy Birthday and she has a really bad cold.

Sorry I have been away for awhile again but I have been busy having surgery. I had carpal tunnel surgery October 3 on my right hand and it is doing quite well and then I got called to have knee surgery on October 23.

I was on crutches for four days and as soon as that rolled around I got rid of them quickly as well as the big heavy bandage. I had a couple days and nights of bad throbbing pain but today it is feeling much better. The doctor fixed four different problems so I hope that means there will be no more pain or surgeries on it. I got another 20km walk to prepare for next June....

I received some beautiful flowers from my friends....

My friend Paulette sent me these beautiful flowers. I had to take some close ups as I just loved them.

This next bouquet I got from my friend Angela and we also went out for lunch:

I am so blessed to have such good friends. Besides the flowers I have had so many phone calls inquiring how I was doing and I received many cards from friends at home here and from my internet friends. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness.
