Challenge for Life Walk a huge success!

I apologize for the delay in getting on here to update you about my wondeful walk but I have since had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand, which of course is my dominant hand. It makes most things difficult including typing. I will struggle along to give you an update.

Here is the registration tent.

We are doing some stretches here before heading out on our 20km.

That is me in the center and we are off on our trek. My son, Scott backed out so I was walking on my own but I met many friendly people along the way.

We passed through the beautiful bear park behind the Manitoba Parliament buildings and throughout the route their were musicians and artists sharing their talent with us. We had a lunch break at Memorial Park which is in front of the Manitoba Parliament buildings. My Mom and hubby, Dennis met up with me there. This was the halfway mark, it was a beautiful day for a walk.

One of the great signs made by the kids to cheer us on.

The entrance to Assiniboine Park and the finish line.

Crossing the FINISH LINE!!!!!!!

My mom and Dennis were there to cheer me on.

I am signed up for next year and already have a good start on my fundraising.
Thank you so much to everyone that supported me and CancerCare Manitoba!
