Oh My Goodness I'm A Slacker...

Everyday I meant to get on here and enter something but it seems like the days fly by and I do not get onto my blog.
I got news that my aunt fell off a chair/ladder (not sure which), she was cleaning a ceiling fan and she fractured her knee. She finally had surgery today and her shin bone was pushed right up into her knee and that is what fractured her patella (kneecap). The doctor said if it did not look like it was healing in a few days, then he would have to do a knee replacment on her. She was in terrible pain today. Her hubby had went to Thunder Bay to visit his brother and he told my aunt not to be cleaning until he came home, obviously she did not listen. She was on her own when it happened and thankfully she was able to get to a phone to call her daughter and when the daughter arrived, she called the ambulance. Always something with my family..

On April 14 we were to have a 50th anniversary party for them, I was to give the blessing and be their MC as I was their flower girl those many years ago. As long as she does not have to have the knee replacment we will go ahead with the gathering, but if she needs further surgery and rehab, we will cancel till later. We had many family members coming from all over Canada to help celebrate.

I did do a few more breast cancer items for my fundraising and I even made it to several stores with the donation tins and my participant forms. I am also in the process of planning a Family Fun Carnival for May 12 at our local arena from 10am to 2pm. Any ideas to make this really fun would be appreciated.

I made these little notebooks that come with a pencil. I got the idea for them from the free perfume samplers from Elizabeth Arden. Worked out great.

I am working on some little wooden boxes that I got at Liquidation World. They were a tooth fairy box but I want to stamp on it for my own treasures.

I am also working on a couple frames. I am painting one white and the other black and then I will stamp on them with stazon on ink.

I am also working on some canvases.

I will show you the finished product when I get it done.

Well I must close for today, tomorrow I will share my craft room, messy and chock full of stuff.
